The Centre primarily focuses on identifying effective ways of learning-teaching methodologies in social science subjects, which can enhance the quality of school education in India with reference of learners’ performance, learning achievements, enhancing cognitive abilities, reducing dropouts etc. The main concern of this proposed centre will be catering personal, professional and institutional needs and strengthening their Existence and Identity of learners, Teachers and Teacher Educators particular and as well as general. This proposed centre tries to visualise, articulate, formulate and develop programmes to address two broad areas of Social Science- (i) Subject based knowledge and (ii) Pedagogic Understanding.
